Shaftesbury Harvest & Craft Market with car boot sale

A new harvest and craft market is launching in Shaftesbury. Taking place on Saturday, September 19, the market will run from 11am to 3pm at Father's House on Christy's Lane. It is the first event organised by the Friends of Open House Shaftesbury (FOHS), a volunteer group supporting the work of Open House Shaftesbury, the charity behind the Open Fridge surplus food scheme. Money raised will go towards ensuring the medium and longer-term future of Open House and its projects." The event will feature craft and produce stalls, a hamper tombola, children's tombola, raffle, and a hot food kitchen. Visitors can also enjoy a coffee bar, an ice cream van, and a kids' corner. Several community organisations will be taking part, including Lighthouse Youth and the Hope Project Shaftesbury Carers. The very popular Open Fridge scheme will also have a stall inside offering free surplus food. Entry and parking are free, with additional parking available at the adjacent Longmead Ind Est.
